While viewing our site here's some jazz for
your listening pleasure. Chase's rendition of Aditus'
About
our fixed blades: I have
seen a really wide variety of edge thickness offering by different
makers, most producing thick, mostly so they don't get damaged
knives back. This is a rare occurrence, and repair is usually
easy. So, I will back even flesh blades with replace or
repair, trusting you will not intentionally set about causing
damage. If you have a flesh blade, and are forced to do
chopping where there is metal or rock present, i'll stick with you
and help on it's repair. If you use a flesh blade to pry a
hardened paint can lid off, and snap the tip, I will repair that
blade for you, but you'll give up the 1/4" of length. As all
others, we don't recommend using any knife for this purpose, but I
understand how circumstances may lead us through life. In
short, if you buy a CHAX knife, I remain with you in it so that it
lasts forever. I see you as a friend who has one of my knives,
even if we've had a spat! ha ha. You are, in effect, leasing a
knife for life, and it's my job that it works.
If you booger it from doing something really stupid, then we'll both
give in a little to "get her back on the road".
This goes for all of my fixed blade knives.
If you ever have a CHAX knife that fails due to my work, send
it back, and I will repair or replace with a superior knife, and try
to get it back to you so fast, the mailman may as well just
wait. If I have to make a new one, then I could bring it
through in about 2+ weeks. Our site, which
needs an involved process to update, is "behind" in representations
of current products, and what you see here, may be the first of it's
kind, or very early production. The knife you would actually
receive would be better, because "getting better and better", is
something which never stops here.
Note: Knife measurements are
approximate since no two hand made knives are the same.
OPTIONS NOTE: You can choose the
options of your knife = steel type, grind, blued, cryogenic, pin
type or nuts & bolts, handle scales (any kind & color in
obtainable existence), finger guards, sheath, etc. See
